Rick Bloom has served clients in the area of financial planning since 1984 and is a partner with Ken Bloom in Bloom Asset Management and the law firm of Bloom, Bloom & Associates. He has been selected as one of the Top 250 Financial Planners by Worth Magazine, and currently writes a financial column each Thursday and Sunday in the Observer & Eccentric Newspapers. Rick has also been featured on WXYZ-TV Channel 7's "Don't Waste Your Money" segment. He also previously aired twice-daily business updates throughout Michigan on the affiliate stations of the Michigan Radio Network.
He served as host of the popular "Rick Bloom Show" on WDTK-AM 1400 and was also host of the "Money Talk" radio show on WXYT 1270-AM for 16 years. He was also a daily financial columnist for the Detroit News for over ten years and wrote twice-weekly financial columns for the Oakland Press. Rick has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and other national publications on financial planning and the Stock Market. He is also a frequent spokesperson on financial matters on local TV and radio shows.
Rick gives numerous seminars and speeches on financial planning and investments for a variety of professional, civic and business organizations, such as Chrysler Corporation, the Better Business Bureau, Grosse Pointe Men's Club, Madonna University, Michigan State University Alumni Association, Corp Magazine and the Observer & Eccentric Senior Expo.
Rick is an honors graduate of both Michigan State University and the University of Michigan Law School. He is a licensed attorney and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Kenneth J. Bloom
Ken Bloom is an attorney, financial advisor and tax expert and is a partner with Rick Bloom in Bloom Asset Management and in the law firm of Bloom, Bloom & Associates, specializing in business, taxation and estate planning. He has been a featured speaker on investing, estate planning and taxes at numerous community seminars and for business and civic organizations and has also been interviewed on television and radio regarding financial planning and the Stock Market.
Ken is an honors graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Detroit Law School. He also holds a master's degree in taxation from New York University and is a licensed attorney in Michigan and California. He earned a Certificate of Completion in the areas of probate and estate planning from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
Jonathan M. Goldberg
Jonathan Goldberg is an attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Bloom, Bloom and Associates and Bloom Asset Management. He is a graduate of the University of Detroit -School of Law and received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He earned a Certificate of Completion in the areas of probate and estate planning from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan. In addition to providing financial consultations, Jonathan specializes in estate planning, probate, tax law, business planning, retirement plans, real estate, contracts, acquisitions, and litigation matters.
He is a frequent speaker on real estate law, taxes and estate planning at community and client seminars, and has been a frequent guest on Rick Bloom's radio show.
Scott Whyte has been successfully serving client's investment needs since 1988 and joined Bloom Asset Management as a Financial Advisor in 2000. Prior to joining Bloom Asset Management, Scott was associated with the investment firm of Charles Schwab for 10 years, rising through Schwab's ranks to become Vice President and Branch Manager of the Southfield office where he was responsible for $1.5 billion in client assets.
Scott has received his designation as an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. The AAMS program covers the areas of investments & portfolio management, insurance, taxes, retirement planning, and estate planning. He also held various licenses through the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) while working in the financial services industry. He has also been named to the Five Star Wealth Managers list in Hour Detroit magazine in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
He has been a speaker on financial topics at numerous community and client seminars sponsored by Bloom Asset Management, has been a frequent guest and guest host on Rick Bloom's radio show, and is a member of the Bloom Asset Management Investment Committee.
Jack K. Riashi, Jr.
Jack K. Riashi, Jr., joined Bloom Asset Management as a financial advisor in 2002 and has been serving clients in the financial service industry since 1987. Prior to joining Bloom Asset Management, Jack served as director of investment services for a local investment advisory firm, where he was responsible for managing over $130 million in client assets. Jack holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a certification that less than 1 in 20 financial planners possess. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, and a graduate of Wayne State University with a bachelor's degree in finance.
He has also been named to the Five Star Wealth Managers list in Hour Detroit magazine in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Jack has been a featured speaker at many Bloom Asset Management community and client seminars, and has been featured as a financial expert for the Detroit News' Money Makeover series, and is frequently interviewed on WXYZ-TV Channel 7 Action News providing financial advice and observations. He has also been a guest and guest host for Rick Bloom's radio show and is a member of the Bloom Asset Management Investment Committee, which is responsible for setting the overall investment strategy and providing investment analysis for the firm.
Cindy is a Financial Advisor at Bloom Asset Management. Cindy holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a certification that less than 1 in 20 financial planners possess. She was previously Bloom Asset Management's Director of Client Services.Prior to joining Bloom Asset Management, Cindy worked for H&R Block as a senior tax advisor. She worked for H&R Block in their Livonia district since 1993, and has worked in the industry since 1988.
Margaret is a client relationship manager at Bloom Asset Management. In her role, Margaret provides service to clients whose portfolios are managed by the firm. Prior to joining Bloom Asset Management, Margaret worked for Charles Schwab & Co. as a client service specialist, investment advisor, financial advisor liaison and a registered investment specialist. She has worked in the investment and financial industry since 1983, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Madonna University.
Sandra Milke is a Client Services Representative and provides account management services for clients whose portfolios are managed by the firm. She has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, and was an account manager and chief compliance officer for Mutual Fund Management Co. in Troy prior to joining Bloom Asset Management. Sandy is a graduate of Wayne State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Corporate Finance.
Brian Weisberger is an Investment Analyst for Bloom Asset Management. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Founder, President and Chief Investment Analyst at Global Asset Managers (GAM), a Registered Investment Advisor and Commodity Trading Advisory firm. Brian began his career at Morgan Stanley in the early 1990's as a Financial Consultant and also worked as a Senior Investment Analyst for a private investment management firm where he managed portfolios for high net worth individuals.
He has extensive experience conducting studies in global macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis. Some of his market research on global market and asset class correlation has been published in Portfolio Institutional, an institutional investment magazine in the UK and Europe. He earned a B.A. degree with a major in Finance from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from Wayne State University with a focus in International Business/Finance.
Sergio is a client relationship manager at Bloom Asset Management. In his role,he provides service to clients whose portfolios are managed by the firm. Prior to joining Bloom Asset Management, Sergio was an investment services representative and mutual fund accountant for Bank of New York Mellon in Orlando. He also worked for Charles Schwab & Co. as a Registered Representative and Customer Services Representative, and has more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry.
Corey Weintraub is a Client Relationship Manager. In this capacity, he provides account services to clients whose portfolios are managed by the firm. Prior to joining Bloom Asset Management, Corey was the Senior Product Manager of Non-Proprietary Mutual Funds for Ameriprise Financial Services, where he was responsible for maintaining the firm’s relationship with key mutual fund companies with combined annual sales over $3 billion. Prior to Ameriprise, he was a Product Manager of Packaged Products for H&R Block Financial Advisors, where he managed all mutual fund company relationships. He has over 15 years of financial service experience and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University.
